Gratitude Concert, Friday November 11th

I'll be on Canyon Road with Russell Scanlon on guitar at ViVO Contemporary's Gratitude Concert. The event, hosted by the gallery as a thank you to the community is free and open to the public. We're very much looking forward to playing together in duo format tomorrow. Our set lists promise depth and variety with a little Portuguese and French mixed into the evening's repertoire. Stop by and say hello. Downbeat is at 5:30 pm. We're in the Six to Hit on the SFGA website this week, too!

New Collaboration at Chile Line Brewing Company

Warming up those winter nights with Michael Burt on Bass and me on the mic. Check out Chile Line's lineup of entertainment with swingin' Friday nights with guest artists in front of the rhythm section and Saturday nights featuring duos and new outings like ours. Looking forward to seeing you soon! (The Sophia Loren pasta dish is super delicious, btw.) Photo courtesy of Sara Diaz. xo

Then I helped place them with 32 artists in 32 locations around town. It has been a blast to be a part of this epic augmentation of the annual celebration of the Burning of Zozobra! This year marks the 100th anniversary of this Santa Fe tradition which began as the highlight of a party with Los Cinco Pintores, in Will Schuster's backyard. Zozobra was "only" 6' tall at that original spectacle. Here we are 100 years later and 32 of these fine art finished little buggers are preparing to congregate at the Convention Center, with the Zozobra effigy being burned on August 30th at Fort Marcy Park. The Zozobra marionette has grown to some 50' tall and the chanting, moans, groans, and fireworks can be seen for miles! Pictured right, is the first piece finished. It was transformed by Santa Fe artist (and former professional rodeo clown)...
